Texas High School Football - Franklin falls to Del Valle

The Del Valle Conquistadores felled the host Franklin Cougars football team by a score of 24-14 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Conquistadores play the El Paso Tigers (El Paso, TX) in a 5A-2 Region I District 1 challenge, on Friday, September 13. Del Valle will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Tigers go into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 21-12 non-league win over Mountain View (El Paso, TX).

The Cougars (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Plainsmen enter the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Monterey was outscored by Wylie (Abilene, TX), 29-28, in a non-league match.
