California High School Football - El Cerrito prevails Monterey Trail

September 6, 2024: Elk Grove, CA 95624

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting El Cerrito Gauchos football squad scored a good 28-19 triumph over the Monterey Trail Mustangs.

The Gauchos (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Oakland Tech (Oakland, CA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Oakland Tech was beaten by Miramonte (Orinda, CA), 42-6, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Mustangs meet the California Grizzlies (San Ramon, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 13. Monterey Trail will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Grizzlies come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 38-6 non-league win over James Logan (Union City, CA).
