New York High School Football - Griffith Institute over Lake Shore
September 6, 2024: Angola, NY 14006 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Griffith Institute Griffins (Springville, NY) and the host Lake Shore Eagles (Angola, NY), witnessed Griffith Institute's football squad knock off Lake Shore by a tally of 21-0.
The Griffins (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Olean (Olean, NY). The Huskies enter the Section 6 B - 3 contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Olean gained a win over Albion (Albion, NY), 32-7, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Eagles battle the Iroquois Redhawks (Elma, NY) in a Section 6 B - 2 contest, on Friday, September 13. Lake Shore will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Redhawks enter the contest with a 1-0 record after their 35-21 non-league win over Amherst Central (Amherst, NY).
