In Friday's non-league match, the host Lodi Flames football squad scored a close 20-16 triumph over the McNair Eagles.

The Flames (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Laguna Creek (Elk Grove, CA). The Cardinals come into the non-league match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Laguna Creek was nudged by Manteca (Manteca, CA), 46-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Eagles meet the Tokay Tigers (Lodi, CA) in a San Joaquin Athletic Association match, on Friday, September 13. McNair will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 0-3 record after their 40-0 non-league loss to Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove, CA).
