McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting St. Michael the Archangel Warriors (Fredericksburg, VA), 9-8 in a non-league battle.

With the win, McDonogh advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Archbishop Spalding (Severn, MD) to play the Cavaliers in a MIAA A battle on Friday, September 13. The Cavaliers go into the battle with a record of 3-0. Archbishop Spalding won 45-0 in their recent non-league battle against Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, NY)

The Warriors now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Paul VI for a non-league battle on Friday, September 13. St. Michael the Archangel will play a Panthers team coming off a 15-7 non-league win over Virginia Academy (Ashburn, VA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-0.
