The Meadow Bridge Wildcats football squad scored 26 points and limited the visiting Pocahontas County Warriors to 18 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wyoming East for a Coalfield A test on Friday, September 13. Meadow Bridge will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 34-7 non-league loss to Petersburg (Petersburg, WV). The Warriors record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, Pocahontas County drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Warriors host Sherman (Seth, WV) to meet the Tide in a non-league test on Saturday, September 14. The Tide come into the test with a record of 1-1. Sherman lost 33-12 in their recent league test against Tug Valley (Williamson, WV)
