In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Solon Comets football squad scored a close 22-21 victory over the Shaker Heights Red Raiders.

The Comets (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Nordonia (Macedonia, OH). The Knights enter the non-league match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Nordonia got by Mayfield (Mayfield, OH), 35-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Red Raiders confront the Euclid Panthers (Euclid, OH) in a Greater Cleveland match, on Friday, September 13. Shaker Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 44-12 non-league win over Whetstone (Columbus, OH).
