The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Thatcher Eagles (Thatcher, AZ) and the visiting Valley Christian Trojans (Chandler, AZ), witnessed Thatcher's football squad topple Valley Christian by a count of 31-13.

The Eagles (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Round Valley (Eagar, AZ). The Elks enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Round Valley thwarted St. Johns (St. Johns, AZ), 36-0, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Trojans confront the Seton Catholic Sentinels (Chandler, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 13. Valley Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Sentinels enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 22-0 non-league win over St. Mary's (Phoenix, AZ).
