September 6, 2024: Harrisonburg, VA 22802 Eastern Mennonite Flames (Harrisonburg, VA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Virginia Academy Patriots (Ashburn, VA), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Eastern Mennonite moves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Flames travel to Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA) to clash with the Tigers in a Blue Ridge Athletic test on Tuesday, September 10. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 0-1. Hargrave Military Academy lost 10-1 in their recent league test against Blue Ridge (St. George, VA)
The Patriots now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host Highland for a Greater Piedmont test on Tuesday, September 10. Virginia Academy will clash with a Hawks team coming off a 1-1 non-league Steward (Richmond, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 0-0.
