Kentucky High School Soccer - Villa Madonna knocks off Owen County
September 6, 2025: Covington, KY 41017 The Villa Madonna Vikings soccer squad scored 8 points and held the visiting Owen County Rebels to 0 in the Vikings non-league victory on Saturday.
The Vikings now hold a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Ludlow for a District 34 bout on Monday, September 8. Villa Madonna will play a Panthers squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, Owen County moves to 0-6 on the season. The Rebels host Carroll County (Carrollton, KY) to battle the Panthers in a District 31 contest on Wednesday, September 10. The Panthers enter the contest with a record of 3-5. Carroll County won 4-0 in their recent league contest against Henry County (New Castle, KY)
