Tennessee High School Soccer - Roane County nudges Walton-Verona
September 6, 2025: Kingston, TN 37763 In Saturday's non-league test, the host Roane County Yellowjackets soccer team scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Walton-Verona Bearcats.
With the triumph, Roane County advances its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Halls (Knoxville, TN) to clash with the Red Devils in a non-league test on Sunday, September 7. The Red Devils come into the test with a record of 1-4. Halls lost 4-2 in their recent non-league test against Lenoir City (Lenoir City, TN)
The Bearcats now have a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Brown for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 10. Walton-Verona will play a Bears squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Male (Louisville, KY). The Bears record now stands at 5-5.
