New Jersey High School Soccer - Matawan Regional toppled by St. John-Vianney
September 6, 2025: Aberdeen, NJ 07747 St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the host Matawan Regional Huskies (Aberdeen, NJ), 5-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, St. John-Vianney advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Lancers host Manasquan (Manasquan, NJ) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league test on Monday, September 8. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 1-0.
The Huskies now have a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Long Branch for a non-league game on Monday, September 8. Matawan Regional will face a Green Wave team coming off a 0-0 non-league Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ). The Green Wave record now stands at 0-1.
