September 6, 2025: Okemos, MI 48864 Portage Central Mustangs (Portage, MI) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Okemos Wolves (Okemos, MI), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Portage Central moves its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Lakeshore (Stevensville, MI) to meet the Lancers in a Southwestern Michigan - West test on Tuesday, September 9. The Lancers come into the test with a record of 4-3. Lakeshore won 1-0 in their recent league test against Portage Northern (Portage, MI)
The Wolves now possess a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holt for a Capital Area - Blue test on Tuesday, September 9. Okemos will clash with a Rams team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over St. Johns (St. Johns, MI). The Rams record now stands at 2-7.
