September 6, 2025: Eldon, IA 52554 Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves (Winfield, IA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Cardinal Comets (Eldon, IA), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Winfield-Mt. Union improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Wolves host Pekin (Packwood, IA) to meet the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 9. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. Pekin lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Wapello (Wapello, IA)
Next, the Comets meet the Chariton Chargers (Chariton, IA) in a South Central test, on Tuesday, September 9. Cardinal will attempt to advance on its 0-8 season record. The Chargers go into the test with a 4-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Melcher-Dallas (Melcher, IA).
