In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Westview Wildcats volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the La Salle Falcons.

The Wildcats (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Mountainside (Beaverton, OR). The Mavericks come into the 6A Metro challenge with a 0-1 record.

The Falcons now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nelson for a non-league test on Saturday, September 6.
