New York High School Soccer - Northport nudges Shoreham-Wading River
September 7, 2022: Northport, NY 11768 Northport Tigers (Northport, NY) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Shoreham-Wading River Wildcats (Shoreham, NY), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Tigers confront the Lindenhurst Bulldogs (Lindenhurst, NY) in a Section 11 AA-2 challenge, on Thursday, September 8. Northport will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 0-0 record after their 0-0 non-league Bayport-Blue Point (Bayport, NY).
The Wildcats now possess a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Miller Place for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 9. Shoreham-Wading River will confront a Panthers team coming off a 4-0 league win over East Hampton (East Hampton, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 1-1.
