Utah High School Football - Monument Valley nips Shiprock

In Thursday's non-league match, the host Monument Valley Cougars football squad scored a close 48-41 victory over the Shiprock Chieftains.

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Water Canyon Wildcats (Hildale, UT) in a 8-Man (8 Man) match, on Friday, September 15. Monument Valley will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 1-3 record after their 33-8 league loss to Monticello (Monticello, UT).

The Chieftains (0-4) will now prepare for their match against Zuni (Zuni, NM). The Thunderbirds enter the non-league match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Zuni held off Hopi (Keams Canyon, AZ), 18-14, in a non-league match.
