September 7, 2023: Yuma, AZ 85364 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Imperial Tigers (Imperial, CA) and the host Yuma Catholic Shamrocks (Yuma, AZ), saw Imperial's volleyball squad nip Yuma Catholic by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Imperial upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Tigers host Cibola (Yuma, AZ) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 11. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 0-1.
The Shamrocks now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Tonopah Valley for a bout on Wednesday, September 13. Yuma Catholic will play a Phoenix squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Florence (Florence, AZ). The Phoenix record now stands at 0-1.
