Wells Warriors (Wells, ME) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Poland Knights (Poland, ME), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Warriors confront the Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME) in a Class B - South challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. Wells will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Lakers enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Oxford Hills (South Paris, ME).

The Knights now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gray-New Gloucester for a Class B - South challenge on Tuesday, September 12. Poland will confront a Patriots team coming off a 3-2 league win over Leavitt (Turner, ME). The Patriots record now stands at 1-2.
