Alabama High School Volleyball - Winfield can't hold off Carbon Hill
September 7, 2023: Carbon Hill, AL 35549 In Thursday's league battle, the host Carbon Hill Bulldogs volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Winfield Pirates.
The Bulldogs (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Oak Grove (Bessemer, AL). The Tigers come into the 4A Area 9 battle with a 1-11 record. In their last battle, Oak Grove was edged by Dora (Dora, AL), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Pirates encounter the Fayette County Tigers (Fayette, AL) in a 3A Area 9 battle, on Tuesday, September 12. Winfield will attempt to advance on its 2-6 season record. The Tigers come into the battle with a 6-8 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Hamilton (Hamilton, AL).
