Texas High School Football - Kashmere can't hold off Austin

September 7, 2024: Houston, TX 77023

Austin Mustangs (Houston, TX) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Kashmere Fighting Rams (Houston, TX), 28-26 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Austin improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Westbury (Houston, TX) to play the Huskies in a 5A-1 Region III District 10 battle on Thursday, September 12. The Huskies go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Westbury lost 19-8 in their recent non-league battle against Terry (Rosenberg, TX)

The Fighting Rams now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Worthing for a 4A-1 Region III District 11 battle on Friday, September 13. Kashmere will play a Colts team coming off a 42-7 non-league win over Wharton (Wharton, TX). The Colts record now stands at 2-0.
