The North Catholic Trojans got by the host Blackhawk Cougars football team by a score of 33-32 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans face the Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA) in a WPIAL AAA Western Hills challenge, on Friday, September 13. North Catholic will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Quakers go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 44-12 non-league loss to Freeport (Freeport, PA).

The Cougars (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Southmoreland (Alverton, PA). The Scotties go into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Southmoreland nipped Laurel Highlands (Uniontown, PA), 49-13, in a non-league challenge.
