Ohio High School Soccer - Field nudges Tallmadge
September 7, 2024: Tallmadge, OH 44278 In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Field Falcons soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Tallmadge Blue Devils.
The Falcons (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Cloverleaf (Lodi, OH). The Colts go into the Metro Athletic outing with a 6-0 record. In their last outing, Cloverleaf got by Norton (Norton, OH), 6-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Blue Devils confront the Alliance Aviators (Alliance, OH) in a non-league outing, on Monday, September 9. Tallmadge will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Aviators go into the outing with a 2-2 record after their 6-1 league win over Salem (Salem, OH).
Match Summary
On a chilly September evening the Tallmadge Blue Devils played host to the Field Falcons. Tallmadge opened the scoring in the 11th minute but the Falcons battled back to tie the match just before halftime. The Falcons maintained possession most of the 2nd half and took the lead on a Delilah Rahe redirection from a Audrey Richmond corner kick. With 45 seconds left Tallmadge was awarded a indirect free kick on the top left of Field's penalty area. Falcon's GK Carlee Fafrak was aware of the situation and allowed the Tallmadge kick to enter the goal without being touched by another player for a goal kick. The Falcons were able run out the clock for the win. A great effort by the Lady Falcons!
