Colorado High School Football - Liberty can't hold off Widefield
September 7, 2024: Colorado Springs, CO 80920 Widefield Gladiators (Colorado Springs, CO) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team tip the host Liberty Lancers (Colorado Springs, CO), 7-6 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Widefield improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Gladiators host Sand Creek (Colorado Springs, CO) to play the Scorpions in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 19. The Scorpions go into the battle with a record of 2-1. Sand Creek won 58-0 in their recent non-league battle against Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO)
The Lancers now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Denver East for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 14. Liberty will play a Angels team coming off a 40-0 non-league win over Vista PEAK Prep (Aurora, CO). The Angels record now stands at 2-0.
