Kentucky High School Soccer - Spencer County nudges Shelby County
September 7, 2024: Taylorsville, KY 40071 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Spencer County Bears (Taylorsville, KY) and the visiting Shelby County Rockets (Shelbyville, KY), saw Spencer County's soccer squad hold off Shelby County by a count of 2-1.
The Bears (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY). The Bearcats enter the District 30 battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, Anderson County was edged by Shelby County (Shelbyville, KY), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Rockets battle the Thomas Nelson Generals (Bardstown, KY) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 10. Shelby County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Generals enter the battle with a 2-5 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Fairdale (Fairdale, KY).
