September 7, 2024: Sheridan, OR 97378 In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Sheridan Spartans volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Astoria Fishermen.
The Spartans (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Willamina (Willamina, OR). The Bulldogs come into the 3A PacWest challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Willamina lost by Amity (Amity, OR), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Fishermen play the Tillamook Cheesemakers (Tillamook, OR) in a 4A Cowapa challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Astoria will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Cheesemakers come into the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Newport (Newport, OR).
