Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Gridley Bulldogs (Gridley, CA) and the visiting CORE Butte Lynx (Chico, CA), observed Gridley's volleyball team hold off CORE Butte by a tally of 2-1.

The Bulldogs (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Hamilton (Hamilton City, CA). The Braves enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Hamilton got by Princeton (Princeton, CA), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Lynx meet the Oroville Tigers (Oroville, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 7. CORE Butte will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Tigers enter the contest with a 10-3 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Williams (Williams, CA).
