In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Des Moines Christian Lions volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks.

The Lions (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Davis County (Bloomfield, IA). The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Davis County was beaten by Pella Christian (Pella, IA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
