September 7, 2024: Lawrenceburg, TN 38464 Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones (Elizabethton, TN) followers left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Lawrence County Wildcats (Lawrenceburg, TN), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Elizabethton advances its record to 10-5 on the season. The Fighting Cyclones host Daniel Boone (Gray, TN) to face the Trailblazers in a non-league test on Monday, September 9. The Trailblazers go into the test with a record of 4-3. Daniel Boone lost 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Musselman (Inwood, WV)
The Wildcats now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Columbia Central for a AAA District 9 test on Tuesday, September 10. Lawrence County will face a Lions squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Franklin County (Winchester, TN). The Lions record now stands at 7-1.
