Tennessee High School Soccer - DeKalb County nudges Campbell County
September 7, 2025: Smithville, TN 37166 In Sunday's non-league outing, the host DeKalb County Tigers soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Campbell County Cougars.
The Tigers (3-3) will now prepare for their outing against Watertown (Watertown, TN). The Purple Tigers go into the AA District 7 outing with a 4-1 record. In their last outing, Watertown was edged by White County (Sparta, TN), 2-0, in a league test.
The Cougars now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Claiborne for a non-league test on Thursday, September 11. Campbell County will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Cumberland Gap (Cumberland Gap, TN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-4.
