September 8, 2022: Park Ridge, IL 60068 Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Hawks confront the Belvidere North Blue Thunder (Belvidere, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 10. Maine South will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Blue Thunder enter the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 2-1 non-league win over McHenry (McHenry, IL).
The Cougars now possess a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Niles North for a Central Suburban - North challenge on Tuesday, September 13. Vernon Hills will confront a Vikings team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Niles West (Skokie, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 7-0.
