The Pioneer Panthers (Royal Center, IN) football defeated the host Caston Comets (Fulton, IN), 35-6 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Hammond Central Wolves (Hammond, IN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 15. Pioneer will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Wolves enter the bout with a 4-0 record after their 21-15 non-league win over Highland (Highland, IN).

The Comets (0-4) will now prepare for their bout against LaVille (Lakeville, IN). The Lancers enter the Hoosier North bout with a 4-0 record. In their last bout, LaVille defeated Winamac (Winamac, IN), 38-6, in a league bout.
