Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team nudge the host Cecilia Bulldogs (Cecilia, LA), 49-46 in a non-league test.

With the win, Southside improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Sharks host Carencro (Lafayette, LA) to confront the Bears in a 5A District 3 test on Thursday, September 14. The Bears go into the test with a record of 2-0. Carencro won 60-14 in their recent league test against Barbe (Lake Charles, LA)

With the loss, Cecilia moves to 1-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Washington-Marion (Lake Charles, LA) to confront the Charging Indians in a non-league test on Friday, September 15. The Charging Indians go into the test with a record of 0-2. Washington-Marion lost 36-6 in their recent non-league test against Northside (Lafayette, LA)
