The Crestwood Knights (Sumter, SC) football edged the host Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC), 27-21 in Friday's non-league game.

The Knights (3-1) will now prepare for their game against North Central (Kershaw, SC). The Knights come into the non-league game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, North Central was tipped by Keenan (Columbia, SC), 22-7, in a non-league game.

The Gamecocks now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Summerville for a non-league game on Friday, September 15. Sumter will meet a Green Wave team coming off a 62-12 non-league win over Wando (Mt. Pleasant, SC). The Green Wave record now stands at 3-0.
