Washington High School Football - R.A. Long trounced by Mercer Island

The Mercer Island Islanders walloped the host R.A. Long Lumberjacks football team by a final score of 49-0 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Mercer Island improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Islanders host Redmond (Redmond, WA) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league outing on Thursday, September 14. The Mustangs go into the outing with a record of 1-1. Redmond won 40-3 in their recent non-league outing against Foster (Tukwila, WA)

With the loss, R.A. Long falls to 1-1 on the year. The Lumberjacks host Hudson's Bay (Vancouver, WA) to face the Eagles in a 2A Greater St. Helens bout on Friday, September 15. The Eagles enter the bout with a record of 2-0. Hudson's Bay won 53-13 in their recent non-league bout against King's Way Christian (Vancouver, WA)
