In Friday's non-league match, the host Poth Pirates football squad scored a good 31-7 victory over the Shiner Comanches.

In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Schulenburg Shorthorns (Schulenburg, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 15. Poth will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Shorthorns enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 35-21 non-league win over Burton (Burton, TX).

The Comanches (0-3) will now prepare for their match against East Bernard (East Bernard, TX). The Brahmas enter the non-league match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, East Bernard ran past Ganado (Ganado, TX), 35-27, in a non-league match.
