September 8, 2023: Rock Island, IL 61201 In Friday's league match, the visiting Quincy Blue Devils football squad scored a big 41-7 victory over the Rock Island Rocks.
In their next game, the Blue Devils clash with the Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) in a Western Big 6 match, on Friday, September 15. Quincy will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Maroons enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 24-21 league loss to Geneseo (Geneseo, IL).
The Rocks (0-3) will now prepare for their match against Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL). The Comets enter the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Newman Central Catholic was crushed by Princeton (Princeton, IL), 20-0, in a league match.
