September 8, 2023: Augusta, ME 04330 The crowd at Friday's non-league test between the Cony Rams (Augusta, ME) and the visiting Winthrop Ramblers (Winthrop, ME), saw Cony's soccer squad knock off Winthrop by a count of 4-2.
The Rams now hold a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Waterville for a Class B - North test on Tuesday, September 12. Cony will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Lawrence (Fairfield, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Winthrop drops to 1-2 on the season. The Ramblers travel to Maranacook (Readfield, ME) to meet the Black Bears in a Class C - South test on Tuesday, September 12. The Black Bears come into the test with a record of 0-2. Maranacook lost 2-1 in their recent league test against Hall-Dale (Farmingdale, ME)
