Georgia High School Softball - Appling County holds off Statesboro
September 8, 2023: Baxley, GA 31513 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) and the visiting Statesboro Blue Devils (Statesboro, GA), witnessed Appling County's softball squad tip Statesboro by a count of 2-0.
The Pirates now sport a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Toombs County for a 2A Region 3 match on Tuesday, September 12.
With the loss, Statesboro moves to 6-4 on the season. The Blue devils host Jenkins (Savannah, GA) to meet the Warriors in a 5A Region 1 match on Tuesday, September 12. The Warriors go into the match with a record of 2-11. Jenkins lost 13-0 in their recent league match against Ware County (Waycross, GA)
