September 8, 2025: Sheffield, OH 44054 Brookside Cardinals (Sheffield, OH) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Brooklyn Hurricanes (Brooklyn, OH), 3-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Brookside moves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Firelands (Oberlin, OH) to meet the Falcons in a Lorain County 8 test on Saturday, September 13. The Falcons enter the outing with a record of 4-3. Firelands won 6-0 in their recent league test against Oberlin (Oberlin, OH)
The Hurricanes now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Beachwood for a non-league test on Thursday, September 11. Brooklyn will clash with a Bison team coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Harvey (Painesville, OH). The Bison record now stands at 6-1.
