September 8, 2025: Holmdel, NJ 07733 The Holmdel Hornets soccer squad scored 6 points and held the visiting Middletown North Lions to 0 in the Hornets non-league victory on Monday.
The Hornets now hold a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Raritan for a Shore A - Central game on Wednesday, September 10. Holmdel will face a Rockets team coming off a 6-1 non-league win over St. Rose (Belmar, NJ). The Rockets record now stands at 3-0.
The Lions (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ). The Bulldogs enter the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Rumson-Fair Haven held off Howell (Farmingdale, NJ), 1-0, in a non-league game.
