Absegami Braves (Galloway, NJ) backers were pleased Monday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Mainland Regional Mustangs (Linwood, NJ), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Braves (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Our Lady of Mercy Academy (Newfield, NJ). The Villagers go into the Cape/Atlantic test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Our Lady of Mercy Academy gained a win over Highland Regional (Blackwood, NJ), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Mustangs now sport a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Atlantic County Institute of Tech for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 10. Mainland Regional will face a squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Absegami (Galloway, NJ). The record now stands at 1-0.
