North Carolina High School Volleyball - Huss overwhelmed by Shelby
September 8, 2025: Shelby, NC 28152 Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) followers left the game satisfied Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Huss Huskies (Gastonia, NC), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Shelby advances its record to 2-9 on the season. The Golden Lions travel to Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC) to face the Yellow Jackets in a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A test on Tuesday, September 9. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Bessemer City lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Burns (Lawndale, NC)
Next, the Huskies play the Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) in a Big South 5A/6A challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Huss will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC).
