Game Summary
The Panthers of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School kick started their 2021 campaign with a 2 - 2 draw at Quincy High School. The hosts were awarded a penalty with 12 minutes remaining in the first half and the kick was converted as they went into half-time with a 1 - 0 lead. Three minutes into the second half Whitman-Hanson drew the match level as midfielder Jack Allen scored from close range, assisted by Manny Osorio. Quincy then regained the lead, 2 - 1, as they scored from six yards out, with 18 minutes left on the game clock. Only two and a half minutes elapsed when the Panthers knotted the score again, when Osorio scored off a well placed header, assisted by Cam Cassidy. Neither club scored any more goals as the result concluded, 2 - 2. Midfielder Ethan Fostello played exceptionally well on both sides of the ball while central defender Jacob Donovan was a stalwart the entire match for Whitman-Hanson. Panthers goalkeeper Ethan Smith made three key saves.
