The Central Red Devils football team (Phenix City, AL), was tipped 17-14 in Friday's league challenge with the host Opelika Bulldogs (Opelika, AL)

The Bulldogs (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Prattville (Prattville, AL). The Lions come into the 7A Region 2 challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Prattville was tipped by Dothan (Dothan, AL), 14-10, in a league challenge.

The Red Devils now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jefferson Davis for a 7A Region 2 challenge on Saturday, September 17. Central will meet a Volunteers team coming off a 31-0 league loss to Auburn (Auburn, AL). The Volunteers record now stands at 1-3.
