The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Cypress Ranch Mustangs (Houston, TX) and the host Cypress Creek Cougars (Houston, TX), observed Cypress Ranch's football squad bounce Cypress Creek by a count of 56-14.

The Mustangs now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Cypress Woods for a 6A Region II District 16 contest on Friday, September 23. Cypress Ranch will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 34-13 non-league loss to Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-1.

Coming up next, the Cougars encounter the Memorial Mustangs (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 17 contest, on Saturday, September 24. Cypress Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 35-20 non-league win over Klein (Klein, TX).
