The Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils (Grosse Pointe, MI) football overcame the host Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI), 42-20 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Blue Devils clash with the L'Anse Creuse Lancers (Harrison Township, MI) in a Macomb Area - White bout, on Friday, September 16. Grosse Pointe South will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Lancers enter the bout with a 2-1 record after their 41-12 league win over Utica Ford (Sterling Heights, MI).

The Chieftains (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Lakeview (St. Clair Shores, MI). The Huskies enter the Macomb Area - White bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Lakeview was toppled by Roseville (Roseville, MI), 53-10, in a league bout.
