The Knox Central Panthers football team (Barbourville, KY), was knocked off 45-18 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Harlan County Black Bears (Harlan, KY)

The Black Bears (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY). The Hawks come into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Pike County Central was knocked off by Clay County (Manchester, KY), 47-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Paintsville for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 16. Knox Central will meet a Tigers team coming off a 35-34 non-league loss to Somerset (Somerset, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.
