In Friday's league match, the visiting Madison West Regents football squad scored a close 16-12 victory over the Madison La Follette Lancers.

In their next game, the Regents clash with the Madison East Purgolders (Madison, WI) in a Big Eight match, on Friday, September 16. Madison West will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Purgolders enter the match with a 0-4 record after their 63-20 league loss to Madison Memorial (Madison, WI).

The Lancers (0-4) will now prepare for their match against Janesville Craig (Janesville, WI). The Cougars enter the Big Eight match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Janesville Craig was nudged by Janesville Parker (Janesville, WI), 35-33, in a league match.
