The McDowell Trojans football team (Erie, PA), was beaten 29-18 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host North Allegheny Tigers (Wexford, PA)

The Tigers (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Baldwin (Pittsburgh, PA). The Highlanders come into the WPIAL AAAAA Allegheny Six challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Baldwin was beaten by Upper St. Clair (Upper St. Clair, PA), 53-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Erie for a District 10 Region 6 challenge on Friday, September 16. McDowell will meet a Royals team coming off a 42-6 non-league loss to Lake Catholic (Mentor, OH). The Royals record now stands at 1-2.
